Brotherly Love Urban Youth Services Inc.
partners with corporate business to help youth.
Leadership Philadelphia has a "Pay it Forward"
program. In that program each Junto (a team of 10
people) have to develop their own project. Ours was
Children and Education. We contacted Bryan. Bryan
got the children in place and partnered us with the
Beacon Center (Terry and Jason). Part of that
project was to conduct this experiencial learning /
mentoring program and to raise some money. We did
both. PECO gave EducationWorks ($1,500) we directly
gave BLUYS ($1,000) and now Radian is matching that
donation ($1,000) as part of their internal matching
program.
The Radian Group is a mortgage insurance company.
That is they insure your mortgage especially
if the mortgage is over 80% of the value of the
home. Radian has nearly 830 employees in Australia,
Hong Kong, the United States and the United Kingdom.
One of our Junto members, Anita Scott, works for
them and the force behind the Junto was Leadership
Philadelphia.
